Route
PendingThe routes are written. They are not yet mapped.
This entry's cultural layer already names where it came from and how it moved. What it does not yet carry is that movement as structure: ordered waypoints with real coordinates, and a mechanism on each leg. Until it does, the layer stays an empty slot rather than a drawn line, because a map built from prose would be a guess with a projection under it.

Rite
The Ethiopian coffee ceremony is an hour or more: green beans roasted in the room, the smoke carried around for each guest, incense lit, and three rounds poured in sequence, abol, tona and baraka, the last carrying a blessing. Leaving before the third is rude. Coffee was born here and was ritualised here first, and the global chain that grew from it sells speed, which is the exact opposite of what the ceremony is for.
