Route
PendingThe routes are written. They are not yet mapped.
This entry's cultural layer already names where it came from and how it moved. What it does not yet carry is that movement as structure: ordered waypoints with real coordinates, and a mechanism on each leg. Until it does, the layer stays an empty slot rather than a drawn line, because a map built from prose would be a guess with a projection under it.

You do not pick blackberries after Michaelmas. English and Irish tradition holds that the devil, thrown out of heaven, landed in a bramble and spat on it, so the fruit is his after 29 September. The practical truth underneath is that autumn damp brings mould onto late fruit and it will make you ill. A food-safety rule was encoded as a story about the devil, which is a more memorable format than a date.
