Route

Pending

The routes are written. They are not yet mapped.

This entry's cultural layer already names where it came from and how it moved. What it does not yet carry is that movement as structure: ordered waypoints with real coordinates, and a mechanism on each leg. Until it does, the layer stays an empty slot rather than a drawn line, because a map built from prose would be a guess with a projection under it.

Rite

Injera is the plate and the shared surface, and eating from one is what makes a meal social. Gursha, feeding someone else a folded piece by hand, is an act of affection and obligation, and refusing it is a slight. During fasting periods, which cover much of the Ethiopian Orthodox year, the same bread carries an entirely vegan table. A single fermented sheet organises how a whole cuisine is eaten and who is being cared for.
